The purpose of this activity is to develop the ability of analyzing civic issues, to promote communication with students from various schools, to improve their speaking and debate ability, the ability to organize, plan, study and write as well, to resolve conflicts, and to seek common ground while reserving differences. The students could develop their critical thinking and independent thinking skills while understanding different cultures, expanding international horizons, and understanding the positions and situations of countries in history and in reality. Some representatives of the SCFLSMUN (a total of 8 students) participated in the 8th Pan Yangtze River Delta High School Model United Nations Conference. 

This is a regional event with a high impact on the high school MUN students in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai. This year, it was held at the XJTLU.

Before the conference

為打造一支模聯(lián)精英社團(tuán)，在每周日晚自習(xí)期間，模聯(lián)社團(tuán)定期舉辦各項(xiàng)社團(tuán)活動(dòng)，為成員們培訓(xùn)基礎(chǔ)模聯(lián)知識(shí)，以及介紹本屆泛長(zhǎng)三角洲的相關(guān)信息。家委會(huì)友情加盟，協(xié)助完成酒店預(yù)定、服裝準(zhǔn)備等工作。

During the self-study on Sunday nights, SCFLSMUN regularly organizes activities like training basic MUN knowledge, introducing relevant information of the Pan Yangtze River Delta High School Model United Nations Conference, organizing student registration and achieving parent committee’s help of making hotel reservations and clothing preparation.

 Opening Ceremony 

本次大會(huì)分為五個(gè)會(huì)場(chǎng)，會(huì)場(chǎng)上同學(xué)們西裝革履，以各國(guó)代表的身份討論各種國(guó)際問題。通過一次次積極踴躍的磋商和溝通，在堅(jiān)守立場(chǎng)的情況下求同存異，達(dá)成部分合作，并出臺(tái)相關(guān)政策。

The conference is divided into five conference venues. The students at the conference gather in suits and discuss the various international issues as representatives of various countries. Through repeated consultations and communication, they seek common ground while reserving differences, achieve partial cooperation and introduce relevant policies.

凌晨三點(diǎn)，蘇城外模聯(lián)學(xué)生的房間內(nèi)，討論還在緊鑼密鼓地進(jìn)行著。

At 3 a.m., in the room of the SCFLSMUN students, the discussion is in full swing. 

大家在一天的會(huì)議后，依然飽含著求知和探索的熱情，完成了立場(chǎng)文件、工作文件、決議草案和修正案的寫作。

After a day of sessions, everyone remains enthusiastic about learning and seeking knowledge, and completes the writing of position paper, working paper, draft resolutions and amendments.

2019 Closing Ceremony 

國(guó)際高中部夏奕凝同學(xué)在參賽期間踴躍發(fā)言、突破自我、彰顯風(fēng)采，綜合運(yùn)用自己ATL課堂上學(xué)到的自我管理技能、社交技能、交流技能、思考技能、探究技能，憑借清晰的結(jié)構(gòu)、嚴(yán)謹(jǐn)?shù)倪壿?、精?zhǔn)的用詞獲得了最佳立場(chǎng)文件寫作獎(jiǎng)。（個(gè)人寫作類唯一獎(jiǎng)項(xiàng)）

During the competition, Ellin Xia spoke actively with a strong national identity, to break through herself, to show her style, and to comprehensively use her self-management skills, social skills, communication skills, thinking skills, and research skills learned in her ATL class. She won the Best Position Paper Award for her clear structure, rigorous logic and precise use of words.

所有參會(huì)同學(xué)經(jīng)過兩天的精彩討論，五個(gè)議題的唇槍舌戰(zhàn)，都有付出，有收獲，也有成長(zhǎng)。

在蘇城外高中課堂上，我們的各學(xué)科老師以ATL六大教學(xué)法為標(biāo)準(zhǔn)，融入多種形式的課堂活動(dòng)。例如辯論、角色扮演等，讓學(xué)生聚焦熱點(diǎn)、開拓辯證思維。每一位老師都是語言老師，每一份作業(yè)都會(huì)細(xì)心批注，糾正學(xué)生的語言使用。

In the SCFLS senior high school classes, all subject teachers take the six teaching approaches of ATL as the standard, and incorporate various forms of classroom activities such as debates and role-playing, to allow students to focus on hot issues and develop their critical thinking. Every teacher is a language teacher and every assignment will be carefully annotated to correct students' language use.
